Serbian Chamber of nurses and medical technicians is independent, professional organisation, established by Law on Chambers of professional health workers, in which membership is compulsory and its independence is guaranteed by self-financing. The Serbian Chamber of nurses and medical technicians consists of six branches: Branch of Belgrade – founded for the city of Belgrade - located in BelgradeBranch of Vojvodina- founded for the following administrative regions of the province of Vojvodina : Juznobanatski, Zapadnobacki, Severnobacki, Juznobanatski, Srednjebanatski, Severobanatski and Sremski - located in the city of Novi Sad Branch of Nis– founded for the following administrative regions: Nisavski, Zajecarski, Rasinski, Pirotski, Toplicki, Jablanicki and Pcinjski-located in the city of Nis Branch of Uzice- founded for the following administrative regions: Mcvanski, Kolubarski, Moravicki and Zlatiborski – located in the city of Uzice Branch of Kragujevac- founded for the following administrative regions: Sumadijski, Podunavski, Branicevski, Borski, Pomoravski and Raski-located in the city of Kragujevac Branch of Kosovo and Metohia - founded for the following administrative regions: Kosovskomitrovacki, Pecki, Kosovski, Kosovskopomoravski and Prizrenski-located in the city of Kosovska Mitrovica The Serbian Chamber of nurses and medical technicians possess public authority, entrusted with task related to conduct the directory of all health workers with secondary, higher or university education, license issuing – work permission, its renewal and revocation, adoption of the Code of Professional Ethics, establishment of courts of honor, etc… So far, we have activated all the public powers and became one of the stakeholders in health system in Serbia. About 70000 members possess the status of active members and are owner of the licenses that are valid until 2015. This is young Chamber, which began with work in 2006 and since 2009 is a member of FEPI (Federation of EU regulatory bodies for nurses and midwives). We want, can and know how to solve problems when our profession is at stake. We are responsible and we act only by Law. |
